Welcome to the January Issue! 2025 is a new year and you know what that means… lots of new fish.
Currently, Connor and Joel are out in Yellowstone still guiding and living the dream. Coltin just downed his target buck that has been eluding him (Read more about that in his article coming up) and Rod is fishing away at the coast on the passing schools of fish. All-in-all it has been a good start to the year.
The new year brings a lot of exciting new fishing and hunting expeditions. Now is the time to start planning, if you haven’t already, for the trips that will carry you through the year. Whatever your adventure is, we would love to help assist you in gettin’ ‘er done.

How To Tie: Yellow Klink Hammer
The Yellow Klink Hammer has been working well for us here in the South as the colder weather has been slowing down the bite. The emerger style fly is the in-between of a topwater and a nymph. This is great for if you are trying to narrow down what to throw and the fish aren’t biting dry flies or nymphs.
Give this fly a try and let us know how you do!
How To Tie: Pat’s Rubber Legs
This is a how to tie video of the Pat’s Runner Legs. The Pat’s is a staple of every fly fisherman’s box and can be found in every fly shop you visit. It mimics a stone fly or any type of insect that is found usually under rocks or sub-surface. The tie is a relatively easy one and is a great way to get introduced into fly tying.
Hunting
A Buck Named Pincushion
Talk about a once in a lifetime experience! The Story of Pin Cushion is a must read for any outdoorsman. Colt tells his firsthand experience with the VOID of the whitetail deer anatomy.
How To Decoy Whitetail
Have you been hunting Whitetail for a while, and get bored of just sitting up in a tree doing nothing? Don't feel alone because many people who pick up deer hunting feel the same way.
